Tim Allen’s “Home Improvement” out on DVD

Tim Allen's stand-up comic career centered around an ill-mannered manly-man routine that revels in the love of muscle cars and power tools, a role that Allen parlayed into Home Improvement, a sitcom where he played a zealous, if somewhat inept, handyman/tool salesman with a rambunctious family.
The TV show Home Improvement was one of the most beloved of the 1990s and also catapulted Allen to movie stardom, particularly in Disney's Santa Clause and Toy Story franchises.

All eight seasons of Home Improvement, which aired from 1991 to 1999, are collected on the 25-disc DVD set Home Improvement: The 20th Anniversary Complete Collection. The set comes encased in a red metal Binford tool box and includes an all-in-one tool.

Home Improvement's popularity never waned as it ranked in the top 10 of the Nielsen ratings every year it was on. At one point during 1994, Allen had the top TV show, a No. 1 best-selling book (Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man) and a No. 1 movie (The Santa Clause).
