Man Arrested in Home Improvement Scam

A Moriches man has been arrested by the Suffolk County Police for stealing $4,000 from a victim in a home improvement scam. David Ricci was arrested after detectives investigated a complaint by a home-owner who lived in Brookhaven. The victim had paid Ricci $4,000 to complete home improvements on his roof which was never done. It turned out that Ricci did not even have a valid home improvement license.
Ricci's home improvement license, under the company name Competitive Concrete had been revoked in 1989, but this man has been conducting home improvements under the company name Ricci Service Ltd. Ricci was arrested at the Seventh Precinct where he was charged with Performing Home Improvements Without a License and Grand Larceny to the 3rd degree.
